Message from UMASS:
31st Annual UMass High School Honor Band/Clinic will be Saturday,
February 6, 2016. This year we are taking things in an exciting new
direction with a composer-in-residence and a separate day-long track
for middle and high school music educators. David Biedenbender
(www.davidbiedenbender.com), a talented composer and conductor, will
be our guest. The new festival schedule for students will feature
masterclasses with UMass faculty, a concert by the UMass Wind
Ensemble, and a forum to interact with UMass music students. Lunch
will also be provided.
Online Registration and auditions! Go to
www.umasswindstudies.com and find the ?Honor Band? section for more
information and registration forms. All applications and auditions are
due December 7, 2015. We will not mail registration forms this year.
*Auditions will only be required for entry into the top ensemble.
Teacher recommendation forms are sufficient for entry into the other
bands.
